Wednesday, May 25th will mark the first ever BHS Orchestra Princess and Superhero Concert Event. The concert is geared toward kids and will feature music from classic films and tv shows.  Kids are encouraged to to wear their favorite princess or superhero costume and will have a chance to join a costume parade, try playing a string instrument at our instrument petting zoo or conducting the orchestra from our "Maestro Zone" with the help of one of our senior princesses!  Admission is free.  We hope this will be the beginning of a fun-filled tradition!

Dear Orchestra Members and Families,

The BMS Spring Orchestra Concert is Wednesday, May 5 at the Bay High School Auditorium.  Below is important information about this event--please review it carefully.

For Students

• Student report time is 6:30; the concert begins at 7:00 PM.
• Students should arrive in their orchestra uniforms (any dress-up for 5th Grade, white on top/black on bottom for 6, 7 & 8th Grades) with their instrument and music in hand. Make sure your child's name is on EVERYTHING.
• Bassists and cellists are responsible for bringing their own instruments to and from the concert. 
• Students will stay in their homeroom anytime they are not on stage performing and will view the concert livestream (the one exception is for fifth graders who are playing Mari's Wedding--they will wait in the backstage hallway while 6th Grade performs).
• Students are expected to stay for the full concert, which we expect to run about one hour.

Homerooms:

• 5th Grade Orchestra Reports to the BHS Choir Room
• 6th Grade Orchestra Reports to the BHS Band Room  
• 7th & 8th Grade Orchestra Reports to the BHS Cafeteria

For Families
Each student is allowed two audience members.   Live audience members will need to check in at the door by giving their Child's Last and First Name to the attendant. All audience members must be masked per district policy and sit socially distanced from other guests outside their pod.
