The Rite of Spring:  Special Topic

At the end of each year we take time to explore a work, composer or musical movement
​that made an indelible mark on the course of history.  This year we tackle Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring".

Part 3: 
In 1987 Chicago's Joffrey Ballet reconstructed the ballet with original choreography, sets and costumes.  Although the music had long been played in concert halls, this was the first time it was staged since its fateful premiere in 1913.
